Would a performing arts school help with acting?

answers1: I go to an arts school :) I'm in the dance program but I
know a bunch of people in drama and they're really good! They've
improved a lot since the beginning of grade 9 (we're in grade 10). I
think you should definitely go! The only bad thing is that you usually
get a lot more homework and assignments and it's more stressful. Like
at my school we have to have at least an 80% average in our art or
we're kicked out of the program. But if you really love what you're
doing, it's totally worth it.
answers2: if you go to a school, that would be training, not
experience. when you go on an audition the only thing that counts is
how well you audition. all anyone cares about is how well you perform,
not where you learned how to. you aren't going to get any acting jobs
based on where you went to school or for how long you went.
answers3: I work at an arts school. Drama is one of seven disciplines
our school offers.
The strength of the teacher(s) makes a huge difference wherever you
go. Some traditional high schools have strong drama teachers. What
they lack is an overall intensive environment that may include field
trips, regional competitions, guest artists / instructors, and a core
group of similarly committed students.
As you develop as a young actor, you'll need to read about the major
acting and directing theories, perhaps as part of your curriculum but
perhaps not. Reading about your discipline is always a good idea.
Wherever you go, reach beyond what's offered at your school. Many of
our students attend summer intensives and act in community and
professional productions when their schedules allow.
Work hard, learn the craft, and good luck.
