Why does the left grant 155 million tax dollars to the National Endowment for Humanities?

answers1: You mad?
answers2: You have to put these numbers in perspective. The US has a
population of 300 million people, so the cost for the endowment for
the arts comes out to 50 cents for each US citizen. The same is true
of Solyndra - a drop in the bucket.

The real budget issues are the tax cuts for the rich and the wars in
the Middle East. The debt accumulated as a result comes to $50,000 per
US citizen.

But hey let's whine about the 50 cents per citizen cost of funding
arts, rather than the $50,000 per citizen debt caused by wars and tax
cuts for the rich.
answers3: Doubt that dollars to the NEH are as useless as they say.
The program started in 1965 with only a 5.9 million budget, but grew
to 177 million under the first Bush presidency, and has been declining
since then.
answers4: Pork? Like the Republican Bridge to Nowhere? You really
think the right doesn't love port? ROTFLOL!

I'd rather give to the National Endowment for Humanities, which gives
out scholarships.

##
answers5: Many reasons, but the economic reason is that there's a
major return on that investment.

Look it up. "Multiplier effect - investment in the Arts."

Enjoy!
answers6: "Do as they say, not as they do"
