Jimmie Doerfler: Sure - no matter the size or speed of the aircraft, a headwind has the same effect on ground speed.A plane with a 230 kt true airspeed would have a 200 kt gound speed. A plane with a 400 kt TAS would have a 370 kt GS.
Charline Granes: Headwinds and tail winds affect all airplanes identically.
Joeann Hoyt: YesExplanation: Aircraft move through a moving medium, the air. No matter how big, fast, small or slow the aircraft, they are all affected the same by winds aloft. It is the same principle as a boat on a river going against the current. It does not matter how big the boat is, if it is going 20 kts, and the current is 10 kts...the speed along the shore would be 10 kts....Show more
Edmund Rappley: can anyone plz provide me with some explanation also?thank u.
