Aubrey Tirri: The US govt web site should have the information you need. Also, you may want to check with an immigration lawyer. My understanding is that just because you have a studentvisa, this does not mean you have any rights to a green card. But Y!A is not the forum to get important info such as this, you need to get it from the source....Show more
Estrella Northway: No, you are on non-immigrant visa, eventhough, you have lived in USA for 10-15 years, your visa status remains the same is non-immigrant. This status can be changed such as marrying a citizen or adotped by american parents to be immigrant status.
Charis Deguzman: try www.uscis.gov
Venetta Coulbourne: Doesn't matter how many years you are here as a student. You are not eligible for a green card if you are here on a student visa.
Jannette Kotz: No you have a student visa. You can't get a green card, there isn't even an application form. When you hit 21 you will no longer be covered on y! our parents visas and will have to leave America and go back tomthe uk. There is no current option under our laws for you to stay
Von Houskeeper: No, not true. You don't get green card just living in US for 5 years. To obtain green card you must have a sponsor who has to file petition for you. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb...
Mack Ukich: No, you cannot apply for a green card after living here five years on a student visa. The five-year residency rule applies to people who already have a green card and want to naturalize as US citizens. If you wish to become a permanent resident, your best options are either to marry a US citizen or find an employer willing to sponsor you for a H-1B and eventually a green card after you've worked for the employer several years.
