Jayson Brod: Sounds good to me. I live in Texas!I am Hispanic so I would say my favorite ethnic food would be Chinese! I love it with all my heart.Hey you know my Raza has a dish called "TRIPITAS". That is a plate made of cow intestines. They are cut up, cleaned really good, seasoned up, and deep fried until they are crunchy. Not to hard not to soft. You serve them with corn tortillas, onion (fresh), salsa, cilantro, sour cream (Mexican style) and cabbage (shredded). You talk about good. try that any chance you get. You wont regret it! Dont forget the fresh lime to drizzle on them!...Show more
Rosann Mccomb: Portuguese breakfast is a sex term for oral sex first thing in the morning. The term being used from the movie deuce bigalow is just for comedy. Now if you were to ask what is a typical breakfast within the portuguese people, that's usually coffee and buttered roll with ham. Some enjoy a modern breakfast of juice, eggs and chouriço. The old school portuguese br! eakfast from the mid 1950's were wine, sugar and yesterday's bread. A type of stew or soup. When asked what is a portuguese breakfast, first ask if they are referring to the comedy act or sex related ? Or are they asking for their actual meal....Show more
Malcom Fenoff: I've tried and liked most sushi I've tried. Eating sushi = No problem.I've tried and liked most calamari I've tried. Eating calamari = No problem.Eating sushi AND calamari at the same time is something very different though. The calamari on sushi is not cooked. It won't smell or taste very fishy but it will be chewy. Actually, uncooked calamari was quite rubbery and chewy and somewhat slimy. Ika nigiri sushi (calamari sushi), is not recommended for the faint hearted. :)Added:For beginners, I'd recommend tamago (sweet egg omelet), inari (sweet fried tofu pouch), ebi (cooked shrimp), unagi (BBQ freshwater eel - don't let the word eel scare you) and futomaki. Those sushi contained no raw fish and they are! very authentic. For calamari, I'd recommend that you try fried! calamari made with small squid rings first then move on to fried calamari made with bigger pieces of squid. If you could handle fried calamari about the size of medium onion rings, you should be able to handle most dishes containing cooked squids. :)...Show more
Danyell Rowback: many americans do not eat RAW sushi, you can still eat the cooked stuff. It is because the meat is as I stated, Raw and raw meats can have more bacteria on them. The cooking process kills the bacteria before we eat it. I refrained from eating all raw sushi, but I did go and eat some of the vegi rolls and cooked sushi but some refuse to even touch that stuff lol like cause it's in the same vicinity it must be contaminated as well. Then you could go to an asian country and they eat loads of the raw stuff and have no problems....Show more

They also used to own two restauraunts, so that just makes it better! :-) My favorite Vietnamese cuisine would be Ban Hoi. It's a bunch of vermicelli tightly knited together to form a rectan! gle. You then put on herbs like basil on it. You can also put on thit! nuong, which means grilled meat. Then, you just dip it in a sauce called nuoc mam, but not to much. Nouc mam is just fish sauce. I love it! By the way, the dish you just described sounds very delicious! I would like to try that sometime....Show more

There can be ones with eel, octopus, salmon, or even shrimp. There are so many types of sushi, so you will be bound to like one of them. The most well know ones are ! california roll and shrimp nigiri (slice of shirmp on a ball of rice). ! Sashimi is also an option, it's just slice raw fish.
