Virgilio Echter: Go to the grocery store. Anything that is in a package, or a box is a processed food. Non-processed foods are: fresh fruits and vegetables, and meats. Dairy cannot fit into this category because they pasteurize and homogenize all of it, taking away most of the nutrients. Canned items are processed as well.... most of them have additives for a longer shelf life, or for flavor enhancement. Nuts are now irradiated before selling too, because they contained B17, and this substance has been known to cure cancer. Any product that has corn, wheat, or soy has come from genetically modified seeds... which have never been tested or are even required to be tested for possible harm. All the foods in the grocery store are pesticide laden as well. Many that come from foreign countries are sprayed with things like DDT, which is banned here, but not in Mexico or Chili, where many items come from. Even the meat at the grocer's counter is not good for you... the cows! are fed chicken poop that has been turned into food.... and it is laced with arsenic. Don't believe me? Well.... I think you better educate yourself. The food supply is all about making money, not protecting your health. Best to grow your own.... whether is is plant or animal....Show more
Ezekiel Kadner: Yes.
Catheryn Small: Processed foods are sort like crap foods. They aren't fresh, they are man-made. Canned food i would say isn't that processed. I know fruits and veggies aren't.
Foster Padgette: We feed our cat meow mix. No meow mix food was recalled and the canned food is not as fake like other cat foods, other cat food was more rubbery than softer.
Marti Declue: Not always. I mean, you can have canned fruit after all.I like to think of 'processed food' as anything that man has played a serious part in making. Meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, milk, yogurt etc - all pretty much naturally occuring, not a lot of intervention from 'man'. But thin! gs like chocolate, sweets, icecream, biscuits, bread - man has! played a big role in the making or 'processing' of those foods - adding sugar and other things to them along the way....Show more
