Most everyone, not just African-American women, would! be wise to be careful with their medical information, but relatively recent history makes it not entirely unfounded for African-Americans to be particularly wary of the medical establishment....Show more

Marcelina Schossow: 1)I think one big reason is shame. especial with regards to sexual health, and reproduction issues. 2)I guess there aren't really any benefits, maybe to avoid stigmatization in your community and in the eyes of new partners.5)as I said, stigmatization.. what would the community think etc....Show more
