What do you have to go through to become a Primary school teacher in the Uk?

Malcom Fenoff: Currently you need GCSEs grade C or above in English, maths, and science. ICT is also becoming increasingly important. Either a BEd Primary (Bachelor of Education) - 4year course or a three year degree along with a one year PGCE (post graduate certificate in education) - if studying full time, will take longer if part time.
